Blog Journal 4
I've enjoyed blogging about my experiences because it helps me reflect on my own thoughts. When I have a specific subject to blog about, such as the many topics in education, blogging allows me to share my ideas on certain aspects of the education system. One thing I don’t like about blogging is how its internet access can be used for other people to read. I’ve learned that blogging also gives people an opportunity to learn more about their blog and its topics.
A Web 2.0 tool that I may use when teaching is MIRO BOARD. Using this tool in the classroom will promote collaboration among my students, further preparing them for the future. When they are adults working, they will need to brainstorm with their colleagues. These skills of collaborative learning will set them up for success. Not only that, it’s very "digital native" friendly, so the students will be persuaded to join in on the participation using their devices in the learning environment. https://miro.com
My first experience with Artificial Intelligence was in high school during 2020 when my friend was using a program on campus for fun. This ultimately shocked me because I had heard of Artificial Intelligence but had never witnessed it work in real life before. My next experience was when I searched for the program he was using, ChatGPT, and prompted the system with different topics. By the time I attempted to use it for homework, my math teacher had already learned how to detect the work of AI. I never attempted to use Artificial Intelligence for my university work for integrity and plagiarism purposes.
I envision using Generative Artificial Intelligence in my future teaching practice. I predict that by 2030, children in primary and secondary education will all have access to media and technology. Therefore, it’s important as an educator to transition with the times. When I show students improved methods or a simple lesson plan, I’m demonstrating how Artificial Intelligence can be beneficial to students and maximize their learning experience. A great way to address ethical concerns is by showing how Artificial Intelligence works for students. This is the most effective way to provide evidence that Artificial Intelligence can transform the way students learn.
